It looks like Not Just Beads at 314 Main Street, West Dennis is going to be around for a bit longer than I anticipated.
Clearance sales will continue while I transition a portion of our Miyuki and Czech Jablonec glass beads to my website. In the meantime, I’ve had many people asking repeatedly about classes. It’s something I very much enjoy doing, so I’ve put these two classes together to begin in March. As always, it will be learning a technique rather than a make-and-take, so if you are interested, please read on. These classes will focus on design, color and technique, encouraging you to use your skills to create your own brand of beading. Beading Class infoRMATIONClick here for further info and signup BEADWEAVING 101Learn fundamental needlework beading techniques (called "off-loom beading") to create designs to suit your style. Open to beginners or those desiring a review. You will learn basic Peyote and Herringbone in a hands-on workshop presentation with emphasis on your personal progress. Supply list and/or a beginner kit is available. Meets Tuesdays, 1 to 3 pm. Cost $50 for 3 sessions. Reservations required. Class limited to 4 persons. BEADWEAVING Intermediate Designed for people already proficient in basic beading stitches (peyote, brick, herringbone, RAW) and able to work independently. This class will delve into more complex variations of the above stitches, along with color and texture theory. Projects will be determined with participant’s interests. Meets Wednesdays, 1 to 3 pm.
